Art helped me stay.

In seasons when my mind felt loud, heavy, and unsteady, creating became a way to stay. To breathe. To process what I didn’t yet know how to name. Art gave me a place to put what I was carrying when holding it alone felt impossible.

Through drawing, making, and building with my hands, I found steadiness. I found moments of quiet. I found proof that something meaningful could come from pain without being defined by it. Creating didn’t fix everything, but it kept me connected to myself when I needed it most.

Now, I create for the same reason I once needed it. To honor emotion. To give form to the unseen. To offer something that might make someone else feel less alone, even for a moment. My work exists as a reminder that depth is not weakness, that feeling deeply is not something to escape, and that healing can be slow, personal, and beautifully human.

Art didn’t just help me survive. It helped me stay.
